Education and professional background

Degree in Law from the University of Fribourg, lawyer and public notary. Owner of the law and notary firm Jelmini from 1996 to 2009. Since 2010, co-owner of the law and notary firm Respini, Jelmini, Beretta Piccoli, now TEAMLEGAL SA. Grand Council Deputy from 1995 to 2011, he was a member of the Management Commission, Chairman of the Legislation Commission, Taxation Commission, Constitution and Political Rights Commission as well as of the Grand Council Public Mandate Control Commission of Banca dello Stato del Cantone Ticino. He was Cantonal President of Ticino’s Popular Democratic Party from 2007 to 2015. He was Member of the Board of Directors as well as Member of the Audit and Risk Committee of BancaStato.

Renato Arrigoni

Education and professional background

Degree in Political Sciences (lic.rer.pol.) from the University of Geneva in July 1978. Mr. Arrigoni began his professional career on 1 January 1979 at UBS: he acted as Organiser in Geneva, he was Assistant Branch Manager of the Biasca branch and Team leader for the organisation in Lugano.

From 1987 to 1990 he was Regional Logistics Manager at UBS in Tokyo. Returning to Switzerland, he joined BDL Banco di Lugano (formerly Banco di Roma per la Svizzera SA) of the UBS Group in Lugano on 1 April 1990,  first as Head of the Organisation Unit, then as Head of Logistics. On 1 October 2000 he joined BancaStato as a Member of the Executive Board and as Head of Logistics. On 1 April 2014, he took over the Special Tasks Division, position that he held until his retirement on 1 April 2016.

Military service completed on 31 December 2005 with the rank of Colonel of the General Staff of the Swiss Army.

Christian Magistra

Member of the Board of Directors since April 23 2020. Born on September 3, 1973, Swiss.

Education and professional background

Graduated in Law (bilingual mention French/German) at the University of Fribourg in 1997, obtained the Federal Certificate of Tax Expert in 2002. He joined Cortesi & Associati in Lugano in 1998, where he became a Member of the Management in 2002 and then a Partner in 2015. He has over 20 years of experience in tax consulting in Switzerland (national and international), particularly taxation of corporates and individuals and tax litigation. Individual member of EXPERTsuisse since 2002.

Raoul Paglia

Education and professional background

Master’s degree from the “École des Hautes Études Commerciales”, University of Lausanne, in 1993 and Certified EFFAS Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager – AZEK in 1999. From 2003 to 2006, he was an expert examiner in financial operations for the Swiss Federal banking examinations (Eidgenössische Bankfachprüfung). In February 2013, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Tax Law from SUPSI. In 1993, he was employed by Banca del Gottardo in Lugano as a financial analyst. He started at BSI SA in 1996, and worked in the investment funds, institutional clients and stock markets departments. In 2011 he headed the stock markets services for the Family Office Division (which later became Patrimony 1873) until he left the Institution in June 2012. He is at present Member of the Board of Directors and Director at AMCO Fiduciaria SA. He was also Member of the Board of Directors, Member of the Chairmans’ Office as well as President of the Audit and Risk Committee of BancaStato

Enea Petrini

Function

Member of the Board of Directors since 21 May 2025, born on 13 October 1967, Swiss.

Education and professional background

Degree in Law from the University of Fribourg in 1991; subsequently qualifying as a lawyer and public notary. After several years’ working in a law firm in Lugano, in 2001 he joined a Lugano-based bank, working initially in Legal and Compliance and later as the head of a private banking team. In 2014 he opened his current law and notary firm in his own name, through which he has maintained close professional links with the Ticino financial centre. He is also Member of the Board of Directors of BancaStato since 1 August 2023.

Carluccio Barbieri (known as Carlo)

Function

Member of the Board of Directors since August 4, 2025. Born on June 4, 1959. Swiss. 

Education and professional background

His banking career began in 1979 in the credit administration department at BSI in Bellinzona, after obtaining the Federal Certificate of Proficiency. In 1984, he assumed responsibility for the BSI branch in Airolo. He subsequently held increasingly senior management positions in Ticino. In 1996, he was appointed to lead the newly established Bank Raiffeisen Leventina, and in 2014 he became Chairman of the Executive Board of the newly formed Bank Raiffeisen Tre Valli. These experiences enabled him to develop solid expertise from multiple perspectives, primarily in strategic management, risk, and regulatory compliance. In 2021, he took early retirement.

President of the Executive Board

Marco Tini

Function

President of the Executive Board since 1 March 2016. Born on 18 January 1971, Swiss.

Education and professional background

Degree in Law from the University of Fribourg in 1997, Mr. Tini did his apprenticeship from 1998 to 2000 at the firm Galfetti, Fontana & Ferrario in Chiasso. In 2000, he was admitted to the Bar and was hired by Credit Suisse for their Lugano Legal Department where he worked until 2006. In September 2006 he joined Société Générale Private Banking (Lugano-Switzerland) SA, where he headed the Legal Department during the first year, becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2008. In 2011, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and took over the management of the bank. Following the announcement made on 3 November 2015 of an agreement between BancaStato, Axion SWISS Bank SA and Société Générale Private Banking (Suisse) SA for the acquisition of a part of Société Générale Private Banking (Lugano-Svizzera) SA’s client assets, Mr. Tini was appointed President of the Executive Board of Axion SWISS Bank SA on 1 March 2016.

Daniele Albisetti

Function

Member of the Executive Board since 1 October 2022. Born on 28 October 1962, Swiss.

Education and professional background

Degree in economics, mention "business management," from the University of Lausanne in 1985. Professional placement as a staff member of Internal Auditing at Banca del Gottardo, where he assumed responsibility for a team with the rank of Representative in 1988 and Assistan Vice President in 1989. From 1990 he assumed responsibility for numerous organizational, management control and risk management projects within the Financial and Risk Management Division. In 1996, he is promoted to member of the Management, and in 1999 he assumes the position of head of the Controlling Department at the group level. He began his work at BancaStato on February 1, 2003 as Head of the Financial and Risk Management Department, effectively assuming the position of Chief Financial Officer. On April 1, 2014, he joins the Executive Board as Head of the Financial and Operational Services Department, with the task of ensuring financial management and risk oversight activities, as well as organizational, IT and operational support to the Bank's various processes. At the beginning of 2021, he is entrusted with leading the newly established Finance Area, which concentrates the activities of the Financial Markets (Treasury, Trading and Asset Management) and Accounting Departments. He joins Axion SWISS Bank SA on October 1, 2022 as Member of the Executive Board to lead the newly established Risk Area.

Giampiero Marangio

Function

Member of the Executive Board since 1 March 2016. Born on 25 February 1968, Swiss.

Education and professional background

Mr. Marangio obtained his Technical and Commercial Maturity Diploma from the Institut auf dem Rosenberg in St. Gallen in 1987. His long career in the banking and finances sector, now spanning over 30 years, began in 1987 in Zurich at the Banca Commerciale Italiana (Suisse) – now Intesa Sanpaolo Private Bank (Suisse) SA. When he left in 2003, he was the institute’s COO. In 2004, after a brief stint at Crédit Agricole (Suisse) SA in Lugano, he joined UniCredit (Suisse) Bank SA, Lugano – which became Axion SWISS Bank SA in 2010 – as COO and Deputy CEO until 2016. He has been Head of the Services Division since 1 March 2016.

Guido Marcionetti

Function

Member of the Executive Board since 1 March 2016. Born on 27 April 1968, Swiss.

Education and professional background

Degree in Political Economics from the University of Zurich in 1992. Mr. Marcionetti began his career at UBS SA as member of the FIAT financial training team and later as an asset manager at their Finances Department in Lugano. In 1995 he became Senior Private Banker at ING Barings Lugano. In December 1998 he joined UniCredit (Suisse) Bank SA, Lugano – which became Axion SWISS Bank SA in 2010 – as Head of Private Banking. Since 1 March 2016 he has been Head of the Markets, Private Banking and External Asset Managers Division.

Renzo Triulzi

Function

Member of the Executive Board since 1 March 2016. Born on 23 March 1953, Swiss.

Education and professional background

From 1974 to 1977, banking training with specialisation in Finances & Private Banking at UBS Zurich. From 1974 to 1998, he worked for Cantrade Bank Zurich and Lugano (UBS Group) as a stock broker and then as the Head of Research and Client Advisory in charge of the Financial and Commercial sector, and he was a Member of the Executive Board. From 1998 to 2003 he was client advisor and General Manager at the Lugano branch of CBG Genève. From 2003 to February 2016 these functions were performed at Société Générale Private Banking (Lugano-Switzerland) SA. Following the announcement made on 3 November 2015 of an agreement between BancaStato, Axion SWISS Bank SA and Société Générale Private Banking (Suisse) SA for the acquisition of a part of Société Générale Private Banking (Lugano-Svizzera) SA’s client assets, he was appointed Member of the Executive Board of Axion SWISS Bank SA on 1 March 2016.
