Stock Exchange Operations – Conditions

  • In E-Banking you can manage stock exchange orders from 08:00 until 22:00 (depending on the respective stock exchange location).
  • However, Axion SWISS Bank's E-Banking support is only guaranteed during office hours (08:00 until 18:00).
  • The maximum validity period of an order varies from one stock exchange to another. Trading hours may vary depending on the products.

Financial instruments that can be traded with E-Banking:

  • Stocks and bonds
  • Investment funds (Money Driven excluded)
  • Warrants and structured products

Additional requirements for trading with E-Banking:

  • The security, in its trading currency, must be supported by one of the markets that have been enabled for E-Banking, otherwise it cannot be bought or sold through this channel.
  • In particular situations it is not possible to buy securities that are too illiquid.
  • In some markets (e.g., the United States) and for certain financial instruments (e.g., warrants and structured products), it may be necessary to subscribe specific additional documents. If these mandatory documents are not present, orders are rejected (contact your advisor for more information).

Additional security measures:

  • A limit has been introduced for single stock exchange orders: CHF 500,000
  • Uncovered sales are inhibited (no short selling)
  • In case of insufficient availability on the current account and in the absence of a credit line, purchase orders are rejected

Particular conditions for External Asset Managers:

To purchase financial instruments not yet authorized for trading via E-Banking, External Asset Managers may instruct the purchase transaction according to the "Telephone Order" or "Already Traded" order procedure. Then, once the financial instrument has been authorized for trading via E-Banking, they can proceed to allocate customer orders.
